When an Exam Doesn’t Go to Plan

Sometimes you might come out of an exam feeling like it went badly. It’s easy to replay questions in your head or compare answers with friends, but you can’t change what’s already happened.

One exam doesn’t define your intelligence, your abilities or your future. Try to focus on what comes next rather than spending lots of time worrying about an exam you’ve already completed.

Whatever your results are, there are usually different routes and options available. If you don’t get the results you hoped for, speak to your school, college or careers adviser about your next steps.

Remember – Your exam results are one part of your journey – they don’t define who you are or what you’re capable of.
