Find what works for you

Find what works for you

There isn’t one right way to prepare for exams. What helps one person might not work for someone else.

Think about what helps you feel prepared and in control. This might include:

  • Finding a place where you can concentrate.
  • Working at a time of day that suits you.
  • Breaking things down into smaller, manageable tasks.
  • Taking regular breaks.
  • Asking for help when you don’t understand something.
  • Knowing what to expect on the day of your exam.
  • Talking to someone if you’re worried or feeling under pressure.
  • Making time for sleep, food, friends and things you enjoy.
